On Tuesday May 21st, we hosted our 3rd Annual Bipartisan Congressional Iftar and celebrated the relaunch of the Pakistan Caucus on the rooftop of our office overlooking Capitol Hill.

We celebrated not only our faith but also what truly makes America great. We celebrated our Constitution and our ability as everyday Americans to worship freely and engage with our elected officials.

Our celebration was joined by more than 75 community leaders who came in from over 15 different states. We enjoyed remarks from our keynote speakers Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) and Rep. Sheila Lee Jackson (D-TX) and were also joined by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), Rep. Susan Wild (D-PA), Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), Rep. Jack Bergman (R-MI), Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), and Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH). These leaders hold positions on key committees like the House Armed Services Committee, Foreign Affairs Committee, Committee on Homeland Security, and Judiciary Committee.

This was an especially significant night because this was the only Iftar held in Washington this year which featured attendance from both Democrats and Republicans.
