PAKPAC is offering Oregon area community leaders the chance to come together for private discussions with Congressional leaders from Oregon and across the country. Membership in the PAKPAC Oregon chapter provides members with free admittance to PAKPAC events across Oregon as-well as at our National events held at our DC office.

Arslan Shehzad
Arslan holds a PhD in Materials Science and has extensive experience in semiconductor technology, complemented by a leadership fellowship from Northwestern University. His professional journey is enriched by a deep passion for community service and advocacy. He is actively engaged in political and welfare initiatives; driven by the belief that an informed and politically aware citizenry is essential for strengthening democracy and fostering positive societal change. His goal is to promote local civic participation and advocate for policies that reflect the shared values and aspirations of the Pakistani diaspora.
Dr. Zafar Khan
Dr. Zafar Khan has been practicing as a hospitalist for nearly two decades in the Pacific Northwest. He believes that well-being extends beyond physical health to include human rights and social justice. Passionate about advocacy, Dr. Khan is dedicated to speaking for those in need and striving to be a catalyst for positive change for all individuals.
Javed Chohan
I came to US in 1984 and made this country as my home. Professionally I am a Banker/ Risk Analyst/ Financial Advisor from last 40 years. Married, and have 3 grown up children, they all are moved out and have their own wonderful family lives. I got my master’s from Marylhurst University with focus on business and leadership. Currently working as real estate investor and broker. Also served as President of Islamic Society of Greater Portland and as board member for almost 10 years during 90s early 2000.
Tahira Shafiq
Tahira Shafiq holds a bachelor’s degree of Arts from University of Punjab and Tahira has also successfully completed following courses
International women health and human rights from Stanford university.
Specialized course on refugees in the 21st century from university of London.

Tahira Shafiq is a dedicated Human Rights Activist with extensive experience receiving investigating and conciliating complaints received from the various communities regarding allegations of violations of Human Rights laws.

Nabila Shouqat
MBA Finance/Marketing and currently employed with Oregon State.
My Educational and work experience relates to Finance Marketing & Advertising in the past.
I have also done volunteer work in college related to social issues. I have always enjoyed working with people, and making a difference in their lives, which is also the core of my current job.
I also believe in a strong community as the basis of a healthy society, and I am deeply interested in issues affecting Pakistani community in America, as well as how we can positively impact American policy towards Pakistan.
PAKPAC provides a platform to be engaged in issues affecting communities in my country of origin as well as in my country of adoption and build lasting and positive bridges between the two.

Afshan Khan
As a dedicated philanthropist with a passion for empowering vulnerable communities. I have had the privilege of making a meaningful impact through various successful fundraising events. My commitment to education as a transformative has led me to support four schools in in Pakistan, providing vital educational opportunities to street children.
With a constant dedication to social welfare, I work hard to provide quality education for underprivileged youth.
Shafaat Sherwani
I started to take part in politics from my college time in 1978. I was joint secretary of student union in 1980. Moreover, I was general secretary of National Students federation(NSF) of Bahauddin Zakriya University Multan in 1984. Later I joined PIA in 1987 and was Vice President of Officers Association (SASA) PIA Blue Area office Islamabad till 2009. After early retirement from PIA I moved to USA and started my Business in Salem OR.
