PAKPAC invites community leaders from DC, Maryland, and Virginia to engage in exclusive, private discussions with Congressional leaders from these regions and across the country. Membership in the PAKPAC DMV chapter grants members complimentary access to PAKPAC events throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as to our national events hosted at our DC office.

Sajid Niazi President DMV Chapter

Sajid Niazi

President
Sajid Niazi is a Business Development Director and Consultant specializing in the defense industry, with over 30 years of progressive leadership experience. He has also been actively engaged in Congressional, State Department, and Pentagon outreach to support and strategic initiatives. As Regional Director for Pakistan and the Middle East, Niazi managed high-level military relationships and led opportunity development for major defense programs. He holds an undergraduate degree from George Mason University (Fairfax, Virginia) and has completed executive-level management programs at Harvard Business School and Chicago Booth. Based in Maryland with his wife, he is a dedicated athlete and avid runner who also enjoys traveling and social events.

Junaid Khan is a Cyber Security Director with extensive experience securing digital infrastructure for major multinational organizations and telecoms. A pro-democracy activist and strong advocate for civil supremacy, he is actively engaged in local U.S. politics and is a nominee for the Virginia House of Delegates. He frequently speaks on issues of digital freedom, democratic resilience, and cybersecurity policy. Beyond his professional and political pursuits, he leads a professional cricket club, fostering youth engagement and community development.

Having lived in the DMV area since 2001, I’ve long followed global politics with a deep commitment to Pakistan’s representation on the world stage. I believe a unified voice can elevate Pakistan by promoting its culture, heritage, and global contributions. My goal is to passionately advocate for Pakistan, fostering greater understanding of its rich history, diverse traditions, and potential for progress. Through dialogue, engagement, and cultural diplomacy, I aim to highlight its achievements and strengthen its role in international discourse.

Ashar Farhan is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 16 years of success in the Washington, D.C. construction industry, known for high-end residential renovations and large-scale commercial projects. As founder of a leading construction firm, he’s built a reputation for quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. In parallel, he has made a mark in entertainment, producing major concerts and festivals across multiple states. His portfolio includes collaborations with artists like Malaika Arora, Arif Lohar, and Naseebo Lal. With a career spanning construction and entertainment, Ashar is recognized for his vision, leadership, and impact across industries.

Yaser Buttar is an IT professional and entrepreneur based in the Greater Baltimore-Washington area, with a degree in Computer Engineering and PMP certification. He leads a U.S.-based IT consulting firm, operates a software house in Gujranwala, and co-founded American Fur, specializing in deerskin leather goods. During his university years, Yaser was an active member of the Pakistani Students Association (PSA), promoting a positive and progressive image of Pakistan. He has also served as Vice President of Membership and Outreach at OPEN DC Chapter and has volunteered for Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH) and The Citizens Foundation (TCF) in Washington, D.C. Passionate about mentorship, he actively supports young Pakistani-Americans in preserving values while pursuing success.

Syed Ali is a corporate finance professional with 15+ years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting in government contracting. Beyond his career, he advocates for democracy and human rights in Pakistan, amplifying voices for justice, human rights, and political freedom. Passionate about economic empowerment and governance, he leverages his expertise to drive meaningful change. He actively engages with policy forums and diaspora networks to promote democratic values and transparent governance. Syed believes in combining financial discipline with civic responsibility to create long-term societal impact.
