On Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, despite a massive winter storm that cancelled flights and disrupted Capitol Hill along with DC’s roads and airports, more than 45 PAKPAC members from California to Connecticut travelled to Capitol Hill for our 2024 Day of Action for Pakistan to garner support for H.Res.901 “Expressing support for democracy and human rights in Pakistan.”

Despite the challenges posed by the weather, our PAKPAC members visited more than 100 Congressional offices, engaging with both staff and representatives, bringing attention to the issues of democratic backsliding and the worsening human rights situation in Pakistan.

We extend our deepest appreciation to our community for their hard work and dedication and we can’t wait to see how many members of Congress sign on to this resolution as a result.
